Webb Valuable

A variety of English breeding, bred in the late nineteenth century by breeder R. Webb in Calcutta Garden, under Redding. In England it is called Webbs Prize Cob, Webbs Prize Filbert, Lambert Cob, in Czech Webbowa, in Germany Webbs Preisnuss. Medium-sized variety with compact crown. When ripe, the nut does not have to come from the inflorescence, and crumbles with it whole bunches of 5-12 nuts. The nut requires manual or mechanical cleaning. Walnut large or very large (height up to 30 mm, width up to 20 mm), strongly elongated. The shell is medium coarse. The kernel is large, fully fulfilled.
